Short answer. If you land at Enfidha-Hammamet or Monastir, do not count on buying a SIM card as you walk out. Neither airport's website lists a phone operator shop, and Ooredoo only offers collection of its Holiday SIM at Tunis-Carthage and Djerba. Both airports do have free Wi-Fi, announced as far as the arrivals area and baggage claim. The simplest options: an eSIM installed before your flight, or a SIM bought in town the next day.
What you will find at the two airports
Enfidha-Hammamet and Monastir Habib Bourguiba are run by TAV Tunisie. Their websites, read on 19 October 2026, list the shops and services: souvenir shops, car rental desks, currency exchange, banks at Enfidha, duty-free after passport control. No Orange Tunisie, Ooredoo or Tunisie Telecom shop is mentioned.
On the operator side, Ooredoo's official shop list has 144 addresses; only two have an airport email address, Tunis-Carthage and Djerba-Zarzis, and none is shown at Enfidha or Monastir. Its Holiday SIM booking form offers only those two airports. We found no official list of Orange Tunisie or Tunisie Telecom counters at Enfidha or Monastir. There may be a seller on site; nobody can promise one at the hour your flight lands.
Free Wi-Fi at Enfidha and Monastir
- Enfidha-Hammamet: free Wi-Fi, available throughout the terminal, including arrivals (police control) and baggage claim.
- Monastir: free Wi-Fi, available in all terminals, including arrivals and baggage claim.
It helps in two ways: messaging home while you wait for your bags, and installing an eSIM if you did not do it before leaving. The Wi-Fi stops at the airport door, so for the drive to the hotel you need mobile data. We could not measure its speed; as on any public Wi-Fi, avoid banking on it.
Buying a SIM in town the next day
Most trips through Enfidha or Monastir lead to Hammamet, Sousse, Port El Kantaoui or Monastir, where operator shops are easy to find. From Ooredoo's list:
- Hammamet: three shops, open Monday to Saturday 8 am to 8 pm, closed on Sundays.
- Monastir: two shops, 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays; one opens on Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm.
- Sousse and Port El Kantaoui: the shop on the El Menchiya tourist road, in Hammam Sousse, shows 8 am to 11 pm on weekdays and 11 am to 7 pm on Sundays.
Bring your passport: the line is registered in your name. Ooredoo's visitor prices (15 to 60 dinars) are in Ooredoo eSIM and Holiday SIM; Orange Tunisie's (SIM DATA from 3.8 to 30.4 dinars) in Orange Tunisie eSIM.
An eSIM: online from the jet bridge
A travel eSIM solves the arrival problem: installed at home, it connects on landing as soon as you switch on the line and data roaming. No counter, no dinars, no second SIM slot. Our eSIM uses the Orange Tunisie network and gives 1 GB a day at full 4G speed, then 512 kbps until the next day, hotspot included.
| Trip | Our plan |
|---|---|
| Long weekend | 3 days, โฌ14.90 |
| A week at a resort | 7 days, โฌ21.90 |
| 10 days | 10 days, โฌ29 |
| Two weeks | 15 days, โฌ42.90 |
The plan starts at your first connection in Tunisia, not when you install it. Not installed yet when you leave? The airport Wi-Fi is enough to scan the QR code from your email: how to install a Tunisia eSIM, step by step.
Which to choose?
- Night arrival, children, a transfer to sort out: the eSIM, installed before the flight.
- Long stay, heavy use, need for a Tunisian number: a local SIM bought in town, which costs less per gigabyte.
- Phone without eSIM: a local SIM; check your model on our compatibility page.
Once there: internet in Hammamet and Sousse. The other airports: Tunisia SIM card at the airport, Djerba airport.
Our eSIM runs on the Orange Tunisie network: 1 GB a day at full 4G speed, then 512 kbps until the next day, hotspot included, QR code by email, plan starting at your first connection in Tunisia. See the plans.
